The Brief

We obtained planning permission for a bespoke residential dwelling on an elevated site in the village of Burgh on Bain with views out over the Lincolnshire Wolds back towards Louth. The clients brief was for a 4 bedroom property with a full glazed entrance hall taking its lead from agricultural buildings and having an informal arrangement of windows on the front elevation reflecting that of a traditional barn.

Requirements

The requirement for an open plan arrangement to suit their family requirements with some formal and informal areas that could have a multifunctional use also formed part of the brief provided. The importance of the setting and uninterrupted views out over the Lincolnshire Wolds was also incorporated into the scheme.
